Spring Thaw!

Finally, the ice is melting and the snow receding. The discovery of some familiar faces on a trip to the marsh on April 1 confirmed it: spring is here, and it’s not an April Fool’s prank!

  1. A Blue Heron on the opening day of trout season! Sacrilege!!!!! Still amazed at how clearly and closely you catch these guys.

  2. Green with envy over the heron shot. Wish I could get that close to our guys. Even my 300mm won’t pull anything in like that, unless it’s a butt shot as I spook the nervous Nellies.
