The Setting Sun

A friend called this evening to alert me to the possibility of a nice sunset. I grabbed my gear bag and, following the advice of experts on the subject, set up early, stayed late, and did a lot of shooting in between. I’ll share several images that captured the moment and left me wanting to delve into the subject more deeply.

The view from Rocks Road, Morrisville, NY:

    • Ha! Best comment ever!? Glad you liked it. I thought of your gulls when I pulled the trigger on the last image – it’s almost impossible for me to photograph a landscape at this time of year without a goose in there somewhere!

    • Thanks Calee. I had fun and learned a little along the way. My biggest challenge with this subject is finding suitable vantage points and horizons within a reasonable driving distance….gotta work on that!
