Spring in the North, you gotta love it! Galleries of world class images can’t fully capture the moments; there are too many intangibles whirling around, evading descriptive words and fancy gear. The last 72 hours have left me with a flood of memories, some made a bit more lasting with visual reminders. Mom would have loved this post!

Love every single image, but the red Trillium is my all-time favorite!
It might be mine too. Thanks Gunta.
Beautiful photo… love the colours and the shapes and the composition!
Thanks Pierre. The challenges of pleasant lighting and composition can be daunting in a natural setting, but these I was pleased with. Glad you had similar thoughts.
VERY NICE!!! This Mom appreciates your work also!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Linda
Lovely!
LOVE the photo of the Turkey Vulture. It pulls me emotionally. I hope you don’t mind if I use it for a photo reference for a painting I’m doing right now. I usually like to use my own photo reference, but, I don’t think I could ever capture the Turkey Vulture as you have. I will be happy to give your blog credit wherever appropriate like on my social media when I post pics of my painting.
Feel free to use the photo as a reference. Revisiting that post brought back fond memories. I discovered the vulture roosting location and positioned myself for late evening shots just before sunset. Enjoyed being close to these large birds as they performed their aerial magic.
Thanks so much, Nick. I’m glad I gave you the opportunity for fond memories. I’ll let you know when I get the painting done. Thanks again! And keep shooting!
