That is a most lovely red! I wonder if we have that plant here in Oklahoma? I’ve never seen it, but then maybe have overlooked it! 🙂
I don’t think so, which is one reason I enjoy posting local flora and fauna. Rich deciduous woodlands, mostly the Northeast, southward in the mountains. Thanks!
How utterly gorgeous! Great shots.
I love the annual challenge of trying to capture the ephemeral beauty of this rascal. Many thanks for the nice thoughts.
Perfect. Beautiful. Jo

Beautiful red! Sorry you lost your friend…
Thanks Mary. The color – I can’t put words to it – is unlike anything I see in the spring ephemerals, or any bloom in the wild for that matter.
Beautiful! I have never seen a red one.
Beautiful! Red Trillium are one of my favorites. I remember your friend from many many years ago(before your time at Morrisville) when I took entomology from him. He was a good teacher even though I didn’t really like dissecting the preserved insects.
So, so beautiful! 🌺🌷
Beautiful memorial
Beautiful Flower!!
